Tom DeLonge ha pubblicato la foto di un tatuaggio di un fan che riprende la copertina del romanzo Poet Anderson... Of Nightmares e ha ribadito perché non lascia tutto per tornare nei blink-182. Inoltre annuncia di nuovo un importante progetto per gennaio.

Sono un po’ geloso; mi sarebbe piaciuto aver avuto questo disegno quando ho fatto il mio petto... grazie a @flaccid_ego per il tuo fantastico supporto. Amo i miei fan. Veramente. So che molti di voi si chiedono perché non smetto di fare tutto quello che sto facendo per tornare nei blink... È perché sto creando dei mondi. Sto portando in vita idee enormi e ho del lavoro molto importante da fare... Ne saprete di più a gennaio. Inoltre perché dovrei solo fare della musica quando posso fare film, animazioni, romanzi, cortometraggi E musica? Nei prossimi anni lo stesso artista che usa laptop per registrare un album, userà lo stesso laptop anche per fare un film, un fumetto e un romanzo. Non sarà più soltanto una band, sarà un progetto artistico... Un’esperienza multimediale creata da un individuo... Un modo per attaccare tutti i sensi in una volta. Più ambizioso, molto più difficile, ma molto più espressivo e gratificante per l’artista e il fan. Perché l’arte crescerà e si evolverà durante gli anni, non è solo effimera...

I know a lot of you wonder why I don't stop everything I'm doing and just go back to blink... It's because I am creating worlds. I am bringing massive ideas into existence, and I have some very important work to do... You will find out about that in January. Also- why would I do just music when I can do feature films, animations, novels, short films AND music? In the coming years the same artist that uses a laptop to record an album, will also use that same laptop to make a movie, a comic, and a novel. It will no longer just be a band, it will be an art project... A multi media experience created by an individual... A way to attack all the senses at once. More ambitious, a lot more difficult, but a lot more expressive and rewarding for the artist and the fan. Because the art will grow and evolve over the years, not just come and go..
